Overview
Pyrrhus is Chronasis's head of records during Helena's return to Chronasis in 4332 AX. He answers almost daily to Kairessa, introduces Helena to the Palace of Time, and wears finely woven blue robes when he first approaches her in a Chronasis library, marking him as a high-ranking official.
Relationship with Helena
Pyrrhus becomes Helena's closest relationship in Chronasis. Within a few years they live together, and he gives Helena something close to love while remaining one of her very good friends. Through him, Helena gains access to Kairessa's circle and receives work as an architect and engineer for Chronasis while hiding the full extent of her magic.
Betrayal and Fall
Pyrrhus obtains a guarded palace book that records Malverand's destroyed history and brings it to Helena. After Helena admits she destroyed that history, he accepts her explanation outwardly. He joins Kairessa's trap and brings Helena to the Palace of Time with a false book. Pyrrhus and the archon had been assigned to find whoever destroyed Malverand's history.
The trap fails when Helena overwhelms the gathered officials, soldiers, and mages. The real book is a brown leather volume titled The Fires of Pyrenis, and Helena kills Pyrrhus for the vault's location. His divine magic initially seals the first wound. The magic fails as she continues dismembering him. Helena then kills Kairessa, destroys the book, and uses the massacre as the opening move of the Internal Thalassai War.
