Overview
Ibrashi are stubborn, sheep-like magical livestock raised for excellent wool and meat in Ulzathir. They are also among the eligible creatures for a proposed Celestial Games beast-taming challenge.
Traits
Ibrashi have muscular sheep-like bodies and fleece with golden or silver sheens. Their wool is soft, smooth, warm, and fine enough for high-quality robes. They can move with slow, even strides or sudden bursts of speed, and larger ibrashi can carry riders.
Ibrashi resist handling by mages. A flock can block a road and refuse to move easily. An accepted rider can ride one or rest against it. Aurelia buys an ibrashi near the Plains of Eternity, rides it, sleeps against it, and later leads a charge from its back. The same ibrashi has a dense aura and latent magical energy, and its flank absorbs a light strike.
Uses and Range
In western Ulzathir, farms around Brahzûn raise ibrashi for the city's textile economy. Carts drawn by ibrashi move wool toward sandships, and Zain's rule demands more robes, increasing shearing and production. Zhulkar governs Brahzûn, prepares Zain's army near the city before the Ulzathir Invasion of Solvarria, and later keeps returning to the ibrashi farms while organizing Ishtanur's defense against the Attack on Ishtanur.
Ibrashi also graze within the Plains of Eternity and thrive in the plains' dense essence. Aurelia's ibrashi is saturated with essence.
